Ramesh is from a weavers’ family of Bhujodi. He studied to 9th standard, and then learned weaving from his elder brother and his father, who was a leader in the Bhujodi weavers cooperative. Ramesh also learned from his uncle, who won the President’s award for craftsmanship.

Ramesh has participated in exhibitions in Delhi, in Jaipur , Udaipur and Chandigadh. In his view, a good artisan must be expert in all skills pertaining to his/ her art. He must innovate within his tradition by correct placement of colour and good arrangement of motifs and design.

In 2008, Ramesh studied at Kala Raksh Vidhyalaya. He graduated with the award for Best Collection.

After graduating, Ramesh joined his family business. They mostly produce for the local and domestic market.
